2025-12-23–The press is reporting on Project Fenyx

The online publication Musica Antiqua Journal has just published an article drawing heavy, far-reaching conclusions from the "TML affair":

The rebirth of TML through Fenyx allows the scientific community to continue its research activities without interruption and should be seen as a concrete form of epistemic protection against digital obsolescence and the fragility of online academic infrastructures. At the same time, this episode prompts a broader reflection. It demonstrates how management gaps and accountability vacuums are not exclusive to peripheral or less structured contexts, but can also emerge within academic systems considered robust and advanced.

2025-12-13–Fenyx's first announcement

Dear colleagues,

Because we are frustrated users of a Thesaurus Musicarum Latinarum in a state of effective brain death,
because we can no longer wait for the site to be restored,
because we believe that scholars have the right to unrestricted, technically and administratively unhindered access to the essential tools of their work,
we have taken the liberty of restoring the Thesaurus Musicarum Latinarum in a slightly different form.

We are proud to announce that, at https://fenyx.me, you now have access to the data of the TML as they stood in the spring of 2025, presented with a somewhat different interface and supported by an entirely original application framework. From now on, you may consult, search, download, copy, and—above all—reuse these materials freely and without hindrance.

Let it be known.
